A keypad, not a form.
The keys are always on screen, so there is no box to tap first and nothing reflows mid-entry. It does the sum too: split a bill as 1200 ÷ 4 and settle the answer.

Barya is loose change. Type the amount on the app's own keypad, tap what it was for, and the expense is on disk. No save button, no form, no keyboard sliding up, and nothing that ever leaves the phone.

What you see when you open it
The whole app is one screen.
What has gone today, how much of the budget that is, the number being typed, and the things it could have been. Everything else in Barya is somewhere you go on purpose.
The dots are the budget: filled is spent, empty is what is left. Top row today, bottom row this month, readable without a single numeral.
One tap records an expense, so one tap takes it back. The line above the keypad names what was just filed and offers the undo in the same breath.

Point it at the total.
The camera reads the amount using the recogniser already on your phone. It knows to ignore the cash you handed over and the change you got back, which are usually the biggest numbers on the slip.
A month in one go.
Import a bank or card statement as a PDF, typed or scanned. Every transaction it finds is listed for you to check, each row keeping the date the bank printed, and only the ticked ones are written.
There is no server.
No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no network calls anywhere in the code. The ledger is encrypted on the phone, and Face ID can keep the app shut until it is you holding it.

Offline first
Every read and write is synchronous and local, so an expense is saved before your finger leaves the glass. It works in airplane mode because there is nothing for it to reach.
Nothing is stuck
Undo the entry you just filed, or open any row in the ledger to fix the amount, the category, or the day it happened on. A deleted entry can be taken back for a few seconds afterwards.
Where it went
The ledger charts 14 days, 90 days or 12 months, and breaks this month down by category, largest first. How much, and then on what.
Your categories
Start with five, rename the list to whatever you actually spend on, and put your favourites first. Make a new one from the entry screen and it logs to it in the same tap.
Budgets that remember
Change this month's budget and last month keeps its own. Budgets are a history, not a number, so the ledger never rewrites whether a past month was over or under.
Yours to take
Export to CSV or JSON whenever you like. A backup rides along with your iCloud account, so a new phone picks up where the old one left off.
Readable
Four text sizes, three faces for the numbers, true black on OLED, and bold that follows your phone's own accessibility setting instead of adding another switch.
