1. Introduction

Liriko (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Liriko mobile app (the “App”) and this website (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App or the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. What Liriko collects

Your songs

Lyrics, titles, tempo, key, folders, demo recordings and any pictures or audio you attach are stored on your device. Liriko has no server, no account system and no database of users, so there is nowhere for us to keep a copy of your work even if we wanted one.

Purchases

Liriko Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We receive no card details and no name, only whether this Apple Account has bought the unlock, which is what lets you restore it on a new phone.

Website logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which, like any web host, receives standard request logs such as IP address, user agent and the page requested. They are used to keep the site online and are not sold or combined with anything from the app.

What we never do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not run advertising, in the app or on this site.
• We do not read your lyrics, and we do not train any model on them.

3. What we do not collect

• No account. There is no sign-up, no email, and no profile. The app works the moment it is installed.
• No advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking of any kind.
• No analytics or crash-reporting SDK inside the app. If that ever changes, this policy changes first.
• No lyric uploads to us. The only copies that leave your phone are the ones you send: a backup to your own cloud account (section 5), or a share to another app.

4. Rhymes, recordings and the writing partner

Rhymes

The English and Filipino rhyme dictionaries ship inside the app as offline databases. Looking up a rhyme, and colouring the rhymes already in your song, happens entirely on the phone. No word, line or query is sent anywhere.

Microphone and recordings

Liriko asks for the microphone only when you start a take. The audio is written to the app’s own storage on the device and is never uploaded by Liriko. Recordings are included in a backup only if you turn backup on, and then only to your own cloud account.

The writing partner

The partner is a small language model that runs on your phone. The one thing that touches the network is the initial download of the model file itself, from Hugging Face, which serves the file the way any download server does. After that the feature works with no signal, and your song is never sent anywhere to generate a line.

5. Backup to your own cloud

The destination is always your storage rather than ours. What a backup contains is your lyrics, tempo, key and folders; demo recordings and attachments are not included and stay on the device.

• iCloud Drive. Files are written to Liriko’s own iCloud container under your Apple Account. Apple’s privacy policy governs that storage.
• Android Auto Backup. On Android the operating system, not Liriko, copies the app’s data to your own Google Account when the phone is charging on Wi-Fi. Liriko asks for no permission to do it and cannot read what is stored. Google’s privacy policy governs that storage, and you can turn it off in Android’s own Settings under System › Backup.

Either way the backup is a copy of your own songs sitting in your own account. It does not pass through any server of ours, and we cannot open it.

6. Third-party services

• Apple App Store: distribution, updates and the one-time Pro purchase on iPhone and iPad.
• Google Play: distribution, updates and the one-time Pro purchase on Android.
• Apple iCloud: only if you turn backup on. Google: on Android, through the system’s own backup. See section 5.
• Hugging Face: serves the writing partner’s model file, once, if you choose to download it.
• The system share sheet: when you share lyrics, iOS or Android hands the text to whichever app you pick, and that app’s privacy practices take over.
• Vercel: hosts this website.

7. Children

Liriko is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us at digsdigg@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Data retention

Your songs and settings stay on your device until you delete them in Liriko and empty the trash, or until you delete the app. Deleting the app clears its local data. A backup in your iCloud or Google Account is yours and stays there until you delete it from that account. Liriko cannot reach in and remove it for you.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU’s GDPR or California’s CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing.

Because your songs are never sent to us, the most direct way to exercise those rights is inside the app itself: edit or delete songs, empty the recycle bin, turn backup off, or uninstall. For anything to do with this website, email digsdigg@gmail.com.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because your songs live on your device and in your own cloud account, the protections that matter most are yours: a device passcode, an up-to-date iOS, and a secured Apple or Google account.

11. International users

This policy is written in English and is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you access the App or Site from another jurisdiction, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page before they take effect.
